Happy New Year

Firstly I would like to wish all our customers a very prosperous, happy and fun filled New Year and thank you for all your support. I really hope I can give something back in return ...

So twelfth night has been and gone and we are now looking at 2011 and what's in store for the year ahead. No doubt we are all going to give up alcohol and go to the gym for at least a month or two!! Your decorations will hopefully all be down and back in the attic by now and you'll be thinking how bare the house looks (but also quite glad to see the back of those pine needles!)

So let's take a look at filling the gaps and making the house a more beautiful place for the new year. The tree always leaves the biggest void, so try filling it with something similar in size. A black bamboo or parlour palm work beautifully

Instead of the Christmas garland or decorations you had on the over-mantle or console, try a simple row of grasses or the boat vase below... I promise you it works.

I've also had greenery on my window ledges and outside tables all throught the winter and its looked amazing.

More on outside planting to follow..
